Kurraba Point

Having been commissioned to renovate the swimming pool of this Sydney harbourside home, a detailed investigation of the site and structure found the entire pool shell to be rusted and unstable, requiring immediate removal and replacement. To stabilise the new pool’s foundations we hand-drilled 10 piers three metres into  rock. The new pool features sawn sandstone coping and glass mosaic tiles.

A second part of the project involved demolishing and rebuilding adjoining stairs and a sea wall using stone blocks from a building site in Sydney’s CBD. Along with the stone, all materials for this part of the project were brought to site by barge.
