This was a challenging and rewarding year-long project for our stonemasonry team, working on a steep site in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs to transform the run-down garden of a grand residence into a timeless masterpiece.

A series of old, unstable retaining walls were deconstructed and rebuilt using both new and re-used large sandstone blocks. Two new staircases were cast in concrete and clad in sawn sandstone.  A new swimming pool lined with glass mosaics was built, with a generous terrace of  sandstone flagging defining the house entrance, pool and entertaining area. The site’s difficult  access meant all materials were hand carried or craned in.
